About the Role:
A Virginia school district is hiring a full-time Remote Speech-Language Pathologist to support an elementary self-contained program. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team alongside two other SLPs and serve a caseload that relies heavily on AAC. This role requires someone confident with both low-tech and high-tech AAC systems and comfortable supporting students with complex communication needs.
Position Details:

Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours/week

Caseload of 53 elementary students

Self-contained setting
-
Work within a team of 3 total SLPs

AAC-focused caseload (LAMP, Proloquo2Go, low-tech systems)

Responsible for Medicaid billing

District uses VirginiaIEP
Responsibilities:

Provide virtual speech-language therapy using evidence-based AAC approaches.

Conduct evaluations, write reports, and maintain IEP documentation within VirginiaIEP.

Manage Medicaid billing accurately and on time.

Collaborate daily with the district SLP team, teachers, and support staff.

Support students using both low-tech and high-tech AAC systems, including programming, modeling, and troubleshooting.

Communicate regularly with families and staff to ensure consistency across environments.
Requirements:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Active Virginia SLP license.

ASHA CCC-SLP strongly preferred.

Experience with AAC devices is required (LAMP + Proloquo2Go).

School-based experience preferred.

Comfortable working in a fully virtual setting.
