Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (K12 - Oregon - Virtual Position)
Primary Function
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supports students by providing prevention, assessment, and intervention services for communication disorders in the areas of speech, language, voice, and fluency. Services are delivered virtually in collaboration with teachers, families, and school teams to help students meet their functional and academic goals.
Essential Responsibilities
Screening, Assessment, and Consultation

Conduct virtual speech and language screenings.

Administer and interpret formal and informal assessments to identify communication needs.

Gather diagnostic information from families, teachers, and school records.

Provide consultation and recommendations regarding student progress and service needs.
Instructional Planning and Preparation

Collaborate with school staff to align therapy services with classroom goals.

Develop and maintain required documentation, including IEPs, progress notes, and reports.

Coordinate therapy schedules to minimize disruption of academic instruction.
Therapy and Intervention

Deliver evidence-based, engaging virtual therapy sessions for individuals and small groups.

Adjust intervention strategies based on student data and performance.

Promote student engagement and positive participation in therapy.

Utilize technology effectively to support virtual service delivery.
Compliance and Professional Practice

Ensure all documentation meets state and federal requirements.

Participate in IEP meetings and due process procedures as needed.

Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with licensure standards.

Engage in ongoing professional development related to speech-language pathology and virtual practice.
Leadership and Collaboration

Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.

Provide resources and strategies to staff and families for supporting communication needs.

Refer students for additional services (e.g., audiology or medical) when appropriate.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
-
Current Oregon SLP license.
-
Experience in school-based settings preferred.
-
Comfort with technology and virtual platforms for therapy delivery.
About the Role
This is a remote position serving K–12 students in Oregon. The SLP will work as part of the special education team to provide high-quality virtual therapy and support students’ academic and social growth.
