Virtual Speech Therapy in TX

A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide leave coverage from February 1 through April 30. Located in San Antonio, TX, this role supports an elementary school environment with a workload of 25-30 hours per week.
This position requires an active Texas Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure and proven experience in school settings, particularly with managing Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings within Texas. The focus of this assignment is on supervisory responsibilities rather than direct testing or therapy. The incumbent will oversee the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who delivers most of the therapy services, while directing and supporting the speech-only portion of the caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising an SLPA to ensure effective service delivery
- Managing the speech therapy caseload related to the school’s students
- Facilitating and coordinating ARD meetings with educators, parents, and administration
- Collaborating with school staff to support student needs in compliance with Texas regulations
Qualifications and experience:
- Active Texas SLP licensure required
- Demonstrated experience working within school systems in Texas
- Skilled in managing ARD meetings and IEP processes
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with SLPA and other educational personnel
