About the Opportunity:
We are actively seeking dedicated and experienced Virtual Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our team for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, providing essential services to students across Nevada. This remote position offers the flexibility of working from home while making a significant impact on the communication development and academic success of a diverse K-12 student population. We are open to both full-time and part-time commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive virtual speech and language evaluations for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, utilizing appropriate teletherapy platforms and assessment tools.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs) and virtual therapy plans to address a wide range of communication disorders, including articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, and social communication.
- Providing direct, synchronous (live) virtual therapy sessions to students in individual and group settings, maintaining engagement and ensuring effective service delivery.
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, school psychologists, special education staff, and other educational team members remotely to support student goals.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, progress notes, IEPs, and all other required reports within district-specific systems.
- Participating actively in virtual IEP meetings, contributing valuable SLP expertise and recommendations.
- Adapting virtual therapy activities and strategies to suit the developmental stages, learning styles, and technological capabilities of students across all grade levels.
- Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding telepractice and special education.
- Staying current with best practices in teletherapy and school-based speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Nevada.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an SLP in a K-12 school setting is highly preferred.
- Proven experience or strong aptitude for delivering effective teletherapy services.
- Thorough understanding of the IEP process, special education law, and school-based service delivery models in a virtual environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate remotely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a virtual caseload independently.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet and private home office space, and appropriate computer equipment (webcam, headset, etc.).
- A genuine commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments and empowering students to reach their full communication potential.
