Virtual School SLP | Texas
Supporting students in a regional day school program for the deaf requires a unique blend of speech-language pathology expertise and fluency in American Sign Language (ASL). This role focuses on providing teletherapy services to K-12 students with hearing impairments, ensuring they receive tailored support to enhance their communication skills within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) program.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering teletherapy speech-language pathology services to students in the DHH program across a full-time schedule.
- Collaborating with educators and staff to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilizing ASL fluency to effectively communicate and engage with students.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy approaches accordingly.
- Maintaining active communication with parents and team members to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Therapy (DHHT).
- Experience working with the DHH population is highly valued.
- Strong skills in telespeech and teletherapy delivery.
- Ability to manage a full caseload and work collaboratively within a specialized educational program.

- Mesquite, Texas, serving the regional day school program for the deaf (RDSPD).
Contract Details:
- Contract position through the end of the current school year (ASAP start – May 28, 2026).
- Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week.
