Position Overview
This remote position offers 37.5 hours per week serving elementary and middle school students through our cutting-edge virtual platform. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 50 students across grades K-8, delivering individualized speech and language interventions through engaging online sessions. Our technology-enhanced approach allows for creative therapy techniques while maintaining the personal connection essential for student success.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations through virtual assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals and objectives
- Provide direct therapy services via secure video conferencing platforms
- Monitor student progress through data collection and regular assessment protocols
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams through virtual meetings
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to educational planning processes
Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active Michigan state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing speech therapy services in educational settings
- Demonstrated proficiency with virtual therapy platforms and educational technology
- Strong communication skills for effective parent and team collaboration
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet home office environment
Student Population Focus
Your caseload will include students receiving support for articulation and phonological disorders, language processing challenges, fluency concerns, and social communication needs. You'll work with diverse learners including those with autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and hearing impairments, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet each student's unique communication profile.
