Virtual Speech Therapy in CA
A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech services within a K-12 educational setting. The position involves providing both direct therapy and case management services to approximately 55 students across middle and some elementary school grades. The role requires an itinerant approach with paid travel between assigned schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy services tailored to student needs.
- Manage and maintain detailed case files and student progress documentation.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individual education plans.
- Participate in team meetings and complete administrative tasks in accordance with district policies.
- Provide or coordinate supervision as required within the scope of practice.
- Utilize the district’s designated IEP system, with training provided to ensure compliance and effective documentation.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in middle and elementary school settings.
- Familiarity with telespeech delivery models and technology.
- Proficient in case management and direct therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support personnel.
Location: Oakland, CA (Itinerant service across assigned schools within the district)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
