This opportunity seeks a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist proficient in Spanish to provide teletherapy services within a K-12 school setting. The role is part-time and on an as-needed basis, focusing primarily on conducting evaluations through telepractice. Services will support students in the Virginia Beach area, facilitated virtually to accommodate flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech-language evaluations and therapy sessions remotely using teletherapy platforms
- Delivering bilingual services in Spanish to K-12 students, adapting approaches to meet individual needs
- Collaborating with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participating in virtual meetings and professional development as required
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology licensure
- Fluency in Spanish with demonstrated experience providing bilingual SLP services
- Experience or training in teletherapy and telepractice techniques preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage virtual caseload efficiently
- Ability to work flexibly on a part-time, evaluation-driven schedule
This contract position runs from January 5 through June 16, with a workload averaging two to three evaluations per week. The setting is virtual, enabling service delivery from remote locations within the specified region.
