A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide teletherapy services within schools located in the New Orleans, LA area. The contract runs through May 22, 2026, with an immediate start date. This position requires delivering telespeech services for students in accordance with the school calendar, typically Monday through Friday, 7 hours a day including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting teletherapy evaluations and treatment sessions for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborating with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Documenting therapy progress and maintaining compliance with school district regulations
- Utilizing telecommunication technology competently to engage students remotely
Required qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Louisiana state license and fully licensed in the candidate’s state of residence
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in Louisiana schools
- Demonstrated experience with teletherapy services
- Completion of a technical screening and district HR credentialing form
- Submission of one professional reference
- Availability to participate in prescreen interviews for suitability assessment
This position follows the school district’s schedule, offering 35 hours per week. Caseload and student age groups will be determined upon assignment. Candidates must meet all criteria and submit a fully completed presentation template to be considered.
