Teletherapy Speech Therapy in School Setting - New Mexico

An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in teletherapy to support students in grades K-12 in a remote setting. This contract position spans the current school year and involves a four-day workweek.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing individualized speech therapy programs designed to help students achieve their full potential, tailored to their unique needs, interests, and abilities.
- Guiding students through the therapeutic process to accomplish goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Regularly assessing and documenting students’ progress throughout therapy sessions.
- Developing and prescribing effective speech therapy interventions or referring students to appropriate external agencies when necessary, alongside providing progress reports as required.
- Maintaining standards for student behavior to create a productive and functional learning environment.
- Communicating consistently and collaboratively with students, parents, and educational staff regarding therapy programs and progress, ensuring transparency and support.
- Offering training and ongoing support to school personnel and parents to facilitate carryover of therapy techniques in both the classroom and home settings.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience delivering speech therapy services via teletherapy platforms.
- Strong skills in individualized therapy planning and progress monitoring.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families and educational teams.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, supportive learning atmosphere.
