Virtual Sign Language Interpreter
Location: Remote (Serving School Districts in Wisconsin)
Type: Contract / Part-Time / Full-Time (Flexible)
School Year: 2025–2026
Are you passionate about supporting deaf and hard of hearing students—and looking to make a difference from wherever you are? We are partnering with multiple school districts across Wisconsin to provide virtual Sign Language Interpreting services for the 2025–2026 school year.
How It Works:
- The student remains in the classroom with peers, equipped with a tablet.
- The classroom teacher wears a microphone to enhance clarity.
- You will interpret live via Zoom, allowing the student to fully engage in a general education setting while receiving real-time support.
- Fluent in ASL and experienced in educational interpreting
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA Score
- RID/NIC certification or state credentials preferred
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote setup
- Highly competitive compensation $38+ (Negotiable based on experience)
- Work from Home - Fully Remote
- 10-99 independent contractor opportunity
- Flexible Schedule
- 10-15 minute screening call with a VocoVision Recruiter
- Completion of VocoVision Tech Screening Assessment
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
