Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Opening in Virginia
Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual speech and language services to K–12 students in a Virginia school district. The SLP will play a critical role in helping students improve communication skills and access their education. This remote role offers flexibility while supporting compliance with IEPs and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Conduct virtual evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify students' speech and language needs

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans using evidence-based practices

Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and data reporting
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student services

Maintain detailed documentation for Medicaid billing (if applicable) and district reporting

Stay current with state and federal guidelines, including those from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE)
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Active Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology license
-
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA - CCC-SLP)
-
Minimum of 1 year experience in a school or pediatric setting

Familiarity with IEP processes and IDEA compliance
-
Access to a secure, quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet and appropriate technology (webcam, microphone, etc.)
Preferred:

Experience providing teletherapy or remote SLP services
-
Knowledge of Virginia-specific educational and Medicaid documentation requirements

Bilingual skills are a plus, especially Spanish or ASL
Work Environment:

100% remote (telepractice)

Flexible hours based on student scheduling needs

Must be able to meet virtually with students, staff, and families during school hours
