A full-time Speech-Language Pathology position is available to provide teletherapy services for K-12 students in an educational setting located in Metairie, LA. This contract role spans the current school year, with an immediate start date through May 22, 2026. The position requires delivering telepractice assessments and interventions to support the communication needs of students within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telepractice speech-language evaluations and therapy sessions for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to monitor progress and adjust services as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Louisiana state license and fully licensed in candidate’s state of residence
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Louisiana school settings
- Proven experience providing teletherapy services in a school-based environment
- Successful completion of technology screening
- At least one professional reference available
Working Hours and Location:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Location based in Metairie, LA, serving within the local school district
