A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a K-12 school setting in Metairie, LA, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible through May 22, 2026. This contract role involves delivering teletherapy services to students, focusing on communication disorders across a broad age range within the school district.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing teletherapy speech-language pathology services to students in a K-12 environment
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with educational staff to support student progress
- Managing caseload and maintaining documentation in compliance with district standards
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state license in Louisiana and full licensure in the state of residence
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in school-based speech pathology
- Demonstrated experience with teletherapy service delivery
- Successful completion of a technology screening
- At least one professional reference available
- Previous experience working in Louisiana schools preferred
Position details:
- Location: Metairie, LA
- Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week (7 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Caseload and school assignments to be determined
- Contract duration aligned with the current school year
