This opportunity offers a chance to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within K-12 educational settings, focusing on middle and elementary school students. The position involves delivering direct teletherapy and in-person support aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct speech therapy services through teletherapy and onsite sessions
- Managing a full-time caseload at the middle school level and two part-time caseloads (20 hours each) at elementary schools
- Participating actively in IEP team meetings and contributing to case management exclusively for speech-only students
- Conducting evaluations as appropriate to support student progress and compliance
- Ensuring makeup minutes are completed in accordance with service requirements
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist certification with ASHA CCC preferred
- Must hold either an Alabama state SLP license or Alabama Speech Educator Certification
- Familiarity with teletherapy and telespeech service delivery models
- Experience working with K-12 school-aged children in educational settings
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseloads and collaborate effectively with educational teams
This is a contract role for the 2025-2026 school year, classified as an independent contracting opportunity (1099). Multiple caseloads across middle and elementary school environments allow for diverse professional experiences. The position is based in Mc Calla, Alabama.
