Position Overview:
We are looking for a licensed and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to work remotely with one of our partner districts and their elementary school students, providing a variety of speech and language services. This role will involve conducting virtual therapy sessions, collaborating with teachers and staff, and developing individualized treatment plans for students who need support in areas such as articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a licensed and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to work remotely with one of our partner districts and their elementary school students, providing a variety of speech and language services. This role will involve conducting virtual therapy sessions, collaborating with teachers and staff, and developing individualized treatment plans for students who need support in areas such as articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication.
Responsibilities:
- Telepractice Therapy: Provide individual and small-group speech and language therapy sessions to elementary students via secure telehealth platforms.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct speech and language assessments, screenings, and evaluations for students with suspected speech and language disorders.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and monitor student progress towards IEP goals.
- Consultation & Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure effective communication strategies and accommodations are in place for students.
- Progress Reporting: Track and document student progress, write reports, and attend virtual IEP meetings as necessary.
- Professional Development: Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in speech therapy and telepractice.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Louisiana state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience providing speech therapy in a school-based setting, preferably with elementary-aged students.
- Knowledge of IEP development and experience working with students with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
- Comfortable using teletherapy platforms and technology (training provided if needed).
- Ability to work independently and manage caseloads in a remote setting.
