A full-time speech-language pathologist opportunity is available with a focus on providing teletherapy services in an elementary school setting in Montross, VA. This contract position supports a self-contained elementary program serving a caseload of approximately 53 students. The role involves collaboration alongside two other speech-language pathologists.
Responsibilities include delivering teletherapy sessions tailored to individual student needs, particularly those utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Experience with both low tech and high tech AAC devices, specifically LAMP and Proloquo2Go, is essential. Managing and maintaining accurate documentation within the Virginia IEP system is required, along with completing Medicaid billing processes.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid SLP credentials with licensure applicable to the Virginia area
- Proven experience providing teletherapy or telespeech services, proficient in virtual platforms
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with AAC devices, including LAMP and Proloquo2Go
- Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation, preferably within VirginiaIEP system
- Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures related to speech therapy services
- Ability to manage a full caseload of diverse students in a self-contained elementary environment
