Speech Teletherapy - AK
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a remote position serving a high school in Metlakatla, AK. This contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY), with a weekly commitment of 32.5 hours. The caseload comprises approximately 50 students, many of whom utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services tailored to the needs of students, collaborating with aides experienced in facilitation, and maintaining compliance with state and district requirements. The role demands proficiency in remote service delivery within Alaskan educational settings.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Type C teaching certification specific to Alaska
- Prior experience working with school-aged students, especially within Alaska
- Familiarity with AAC device usage and support strategies
- Ability to effectively collaborate with on-site aides and educational staff
