Open position for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing teletherapy services for K-12 students in a public school setting located in Kenner, Louisiana. This full-time contract runs through the 2025-2026 school year, starting as soon as possible and ending May 22, 2026. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, in alignment with the school calendar.
Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality teletherapy services to students across various grade levels, utilizing specialized communication techniques to support speech and language development remotely. Collaboration with education staff to tailor interventions to individual student needs is essential.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current active Louisiana state license AND license in the state of residence
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Minimum of three years’ experience in school-based speech therapy settings
- Proven competence in teletherapy service delivery
- Successful completion of technology screening
- At least one professional reference verifying experience and qualifications
- Experience working within Louisiana schools preferred
Additional Information:
- Caseload and number of assigned schools will be determined based on district needs
- Candidates will undergo thorough prescreening to ensure all qualifications are met prior to presentation
- Understanding of the teletherapy platform and ability to engage students remotely is necessary
