This contract role is designed for a licensed Speech Language Pathologist skilled in telespeech and teletherapy services within school settings. The assignment is based in Metairie, LA, serving schools in the greater New Orleans area. The position requires full-time commitment, offering 35 hours per week Monday through Friday in alignment with the school calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services through teletherapy platforms to school-aged children.
- Manage caseloads effectively while adapting therapy techniques to virtual formats.
- Complete all necessary district credentialing and HR documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff and families remotely to support student communication goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state license in Louisiana and the candidate’s state of residence.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is mandatory.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a school setting, preferably within Louisiana.
- Proven expertise in teletherapy services.
- Successful completion of a technology screening.
- One professional reference available.
- Ability to complete a prescreen internal eligibility interview.
Work Schedule and Details:
- Full-time, 7 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Work hours follow the local school calendar.
- Caseload specifics will be determined upon placement.
