Speech Teletherapy - MI
New Baltimore, MI
A full-time Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist role is available to support a developmental center program serving a non-verbal to moderately severe student population. This position focuses on delivering virtual therapy services to students across K-12.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting individual and group therapy sessions through a secure virtual platform.
- Developing and managing IEPs, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), progress reports, and assessments using a specialized district system.
- Collaborating regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals, occupational and physical therapists.
- Participating actively in IEP and professional development meetings.
- Utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and software, including Proloquo2Go, Tobii Dynavox, PODD, and core vocabulary programs.
- Employing Boardmaker 7 Online for communication supports.
- Coordinating with an onsite facilitator who provides materials and assists with student transitions.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA CCC-SLP).
- Strong experience working within developmental center settings, preferably with non-verbal or moderate-to-severe populations.
- Proficiency with AAC technologies and communication support tools.
- Familiarity with IEP development and electronic documentation systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
This contract role covers the full school year in a K-12 educational setting located in New Baltimore, MI.
