Remote Speech Therapy in LA
Metairie, LA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a K-12 school setting in Metairie, LA, focusing on teletherapy services. The role requires expertise in telespeech and teletherapy, supporting students through remote platforms to deliver effective speech-language interventions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language pathology services via teletherapy to students across K-12 grade levels
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring student progress
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student communication goals and inclusive learning
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation as per school and state guidelines
- Adhering to all relevant professional and ethical standards in teletherapy delivery
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state license to practice SLP in Louisiana and fully licensed in the current state of residence
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Minimum of three years’ experience working within Louisiana schools providing speech therapy services
- Demonstrated proficiency in teletherapy methods and technology
- Successful completion of required technical screening
- One professional reference required
Employment details:
- Contract position for the current school year through May 22, 2026
- Full-time schedule: 35 hours weekly, Monday through Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period according to the academic calendar
- Caseload and number of schools assigned will be determined
- Compliance with all licensing and certification regulations mandatory
