Virtual School-Based Speech Therapy - Washington
A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support K-12 students with specialized communication needs in a Federal Way, WA school setting. This role offers flexibility to work either through telepractice or onsite, focusing on Middle School students.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participating actively in Team Determination meetings scheduled on Wednesdays during AM and PM sessions
- Collaborating with educators and other professionals to develop strategies that support student communication success
- Monitoring and documenting student progress according to district guidelines
Desired qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience delivering speech-language services within a K-12 school environment
- Ability to effectively conduct telespeech services alongside in-person care
- Strong communication and organizational skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams
This contract position represents a 0.6 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) commitment for the current school year (CSY), offering a focused assignment that emphasizes student support and collaborative planning.
