Remote School Speech Therapy - Texas
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is sought to provide specialized teletherapy services within a K-12 educational setting. This contract role supports students in a Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (RDSPD), working closely with a diverse caseload of children and adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH).
Responsibilities include administering teletherapy sessions focused on speech and language development, collaborating with educational staff to tailor therapy plans, and monitoring student progress in alignment with individualized education programs (IEPs). This position requires proficient use of telecommunication tools to deliver effective remote speech-language services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Fluency in American Sign Language or certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT)
- Experience working with DHH students preferred
- Knowledge of teletherapy best practices for speech-language services
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload and maintain detailed documentation
Location: Plano, TX (Teletherapy within regional program parameters)
Duration: Contract through the current school year ending May 28, 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time schedule
Compensation is commensurate with experience and skill level.
