Providing virtual speech-language pathology support in Spanish for K-12 students within a Virginia Beach area school district, this part-time, as-needed contract opportunity involves conducting two to three evaluations per week via teletherapy. The position requires an active Virginia SLP license and bilingual proficiency in Spanish to effectively assess and support the communication needs of students through telepractice platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Spanish language speech and language evaluations virtually using teletherapy methods.
- Work with K-12 students to assess communication disorders and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate remotely with educational staff and families to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district policies and professional standards.
- Manage a small caseload on a part-time basis with flexible scheduling.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Virginia license in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish, including verbal and written skills.
- Experience or familiarity with teletherapy techniques and virtual assessment tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on a consultative basis.
- Prior experience with school-based SLP services preferred but not required.
Location: This role is performed virtually for students enrolled in a K-12 public school setting in the Virginia Beach area.
