SLP Remote in MI
This opportunity involves providing comprehensive speech-language pathology services remotely for students ranging from PreK through 12th grade within a K-12 school setting. The position primarily focuses on serving elementary-level students, with caseloads including children on the autism spectrum and some who are non-verbal. PreK services are delivered through a walk-in model and involve child-find testing, offering diverse experiences within the early childhood population. There is no requirement to support students using AAC or those with moderate to severe needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct teletherapy sessions tailored to individual student needs from PreK to 12th grade
- Implement evidence-based interventions for speech and language development, focusing on elementary-aged children
- Perform child-find testing for early identification of speech and language concerns in PreK students
- Collaborate with school personnel to support communication goals within the school environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with relevant guidelines
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience delivering speech therapy services via telepractice platforms
- Familiarity with school-based speech-language pathology practices, including PreK programming
- Ability to work effectively with non-verbal and autistic students
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
