Teletherapy Speech Therapy in School Setting - California
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for a contract lasting one full semester in Canyon Country, CA, serving K-6 students, with some involvement in preschool and transitional preschool programs. This role requires expertise in teletherapy and telespeech services, providing support across two elementary school sites where speech services are already established.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy in a dedicated speech room.
- Supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) at one site for three days per week and providing direct therapy at a second site for two days per week.
- Managing caseloads effectively, including documentation and communication with families and staff.
- Maintaining a strong online presence for teletherapy sessions, ensuring high-quality virtual service delivery.
- Collaborating with existing SLP staff at both locations.
Qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist holding the VOCO CA SLP-CCC credential.
- Valid California residency is mandatory, along with completion of LiveScan fingerprinting.
- Proven success in managing a diverse caseload of K-6 students and familiarity with preschool and transitional preschool populations.
- Excellent supervisory skills and ability to lead SLPAs.
- Strong skills in teletherapy modalities and digital communication platforms.
