Teletherapy Speech Therapy in School Setting - Virginia
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Buena Vista, VA, supporting students across four schools with potential consultative responsibilities in additional locations. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech therapy services to K-12 students, including approximately 30-40 primary and 20-30 secondary students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing teletherapy and in-person speech-language services tailored to the needs of pediatric and school-aged populations.
- Implementing individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language challenges.
- Collaborating with educators and caregivers to support student communication goals.
- Documenting therapy progress and maintaining compliance with state licensure and school policies.
- Adapting therapy approaches for virtual platforms to ensure effective telepractice delivery.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license.
- Credentials such as Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in pediatric settings including schools and healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and the ability to conduct remote speech services.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills suitable for managing caseloads of mixed age groups.
