Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide remote speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting. As a contracted SLP, you will have the flexibility to work from home while delivering high-quality speech services to help students meet their communication and academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual speech and language assessments for students with communication challenges.
- Develop and implement treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs.
- Conduct individual and group speech therapy sessions via a secure online platform.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain thorough documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and student progress.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team discussions as needed.
- Adapt therapy materials and activities for virtual sessions to meet diverse student needs.
- Stay current on best practices in teletherapy and special education requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience providing school-based speech therapy
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
- Proficiency with online platforms for virtual service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Knowledge of special education law, including the development of IEPs and compliance with IDEA.
