Job Title: Remote School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Remote (Serving K–12 students across New Mexico)
Employment Type: Part-Time 1099 Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services via secure teletherapy platforms in accordance with each student’s IEP

  • Conduct remote speech and language assessments to determine eligibility for services

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy goals based on student needs and data

  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and state standards

  • Attend and actively participate in virtual IEP meetings, MDTs, and team planning sessions

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support communication development in academic settings

  • Ensure compliance with the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) regulations and IDEA requirements

  • Maintain up-to-date licensure and adhere to ASHA Code of Ethics and best practices

  • Stay informed on current trends and techniques in school-based speech-language services, especially in telepractice

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of New Mexico

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA

  • At least 1 year of experience providing speech-language services in a K–12 school setting (in-person or remote)

  • Understanding of IEP processes and documentation as required by New Mexico state and federal law

  • Proficient in using digital therapy tools and teletherapy platforms (e.g., Zoom, PresenceLearning, TheraPlatform)

  • Reliable internet connection and a secure, distraction-free home office setup

  • Excellent interpersonal, time-management, and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience delivering teletherapy in a school environment

  • Familiarity with New Mexico-specific student data and IEP systems (e.g., PowerSchool, Frontline)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

  • Experience working with diverse student populations including those with autism, language delays, articulation disorders, and fluency issues
