Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Holds or eligible for SLP - CCC; strong SLP - CFY candidates also considered
- Current or eligible South Carolina state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Demonstrated experience evaluating and treating children from infancy through early elementary
- Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs and treatment plans
- Familiar with a range of AAC devices and augmentative communication strategies
- Effective communicator with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexible, collaborative, and adaptive in dynamic educational settings
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations for a diverse caseload of students ages 6 months to 8 years
- Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state requirements
- Design and deliver evidence-based therapy sessions, adapting approaches for student needs
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to facilitate optimal student outcomes
- Incorporate AAC device knowledge into assessment and therapeutic recommendations
- Engage in professional development to remain current with the latest research and best practices
