Speech Therapist in Federal Way, WA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to cover a maternity leave from late March through the end of the school year at an elementary school in Federal Way, WA. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, providing a dynamic environment to work directly with young learners in an on-site capacity.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language assessments and interventions for a caseload of approximately 48 students.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication development.
- Maintaining accurate records and progress reports in compliance with district and federal guidelines.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs).
Preferred qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings, particularly at the elementary level.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders in children and effective therapeutic strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Federal Way, WA, with no remote or hybrid options available.
