Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Renton, WA
Located in Renton, WA, this position offers the opportunity to work as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) within a K-12 school setting for the remainder of the current school year. This contract role is available both full time and part time, providing flexibility depending on your availability. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, generally from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some variation based on the assigned building.
Responsibilities include evaluating communication disorders such as receptive-expressive language difficulties, articulation, voice, fluency, neuromuscular, and non-vocal issues. You will document evaluation outcomes and assess the impact of these disorders on students' educational performance. Additional duties entail identifying needs, preparing treatment plans, and making recommendations for interventions and individualized education programs (IEPs). Caseloads will be assigned based on interests and after the interview process, with an estimated caseload of approximately 45 students.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license (ESA)
- Eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Completion of fingerprint clearance through OSPI within the past two years
- Experience with school-age populations preferred, across elementary, middle, and high school levels
