A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025/2026 school year, providing essential support within a dynamic K-12 educational setting in Kent, WA. This contract position focuses on maternity leave coverage, with two roles beginning at different times: one starting at the end of February and the other in May.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations and therapy services to students across K-12 grades.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and inclusion.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings, IEP planning, and professional development activities.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working within school systems, preferably in K-12 environments.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorder assessments and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and adapt therapy approaches as needed.
Location: Kent, Washington
Contract Details:
- Full-time maternity leave fill positions.
- One position begins at the end of February; the second begins in May.
