A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Maple Valley, WA. This opportunity is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about making a positive impact on children’s communication and language development during a leave coverage period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success initiatives
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC-SLP) recognized by ASHA
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or healthcare environments
- Knowledge of school-based speech-language pathology practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored to children and educators
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting
