Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Kent, Washington
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a school setting in Kent, WA. This contract position is designed to cover a leave of absence, providing essential therapy services to children across various grades. Ideal candidates will have experience in school-based speech-language pathology and demonstrate a strong commitment to helping students develop effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support students’ communication goals.
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to an inclusive educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) with current credentials.
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion preferred or ongoing.
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with K-12 student populations.
- Knowledge of pediatric speech-language disorders and therapeutic techniques.
- Familiarity with healthcare protocols related to speech therapy service delivery.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is a plus.
