A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting in Tacoma, WA, on a contract basis for the current school year. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in pediatric or school-aged populations who are passionate about supporting students with speech and language challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of students with speech and language disorders
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Providing targeted therapy sessions to support speech and language goals
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress with attention to detail
  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
  • Engaging families in the therapy process to foster understanding and support

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Washington
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Additional requirements:

  • Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in Washington
  • Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
