About the Opportunity:
Join a student-focused educational team committed to supporting communication and language development across all grade levels. We’re hiring a dynamic and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students in a public school setting in Tacoma, Washington (ZIP 98409).
This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on student success through individualized therapy, consultative support, and participation in multidisciplinary educational planning. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver speech and language services to students in PreK–12, as outlined in IEPs

Evaluate, diagnose, and document speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders

Develop comprehensive, measurable IEP goals in collaboration with the IEP team

Maintain compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district procedures

Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support student needs in both general and special education settings

Use evidence-based practices and data-driven strategies to monitor progress and adapt interventions

Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and staff development opportunities
Required Qualifications:
-
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

Current Washington State SLP License (DOH)
-
ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) or eligibility to obtain
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs considered

Experience working with school-age populations preferred

Familiarity with a variety of communication needs including AAC, articulation, receptive/expressive language, and social pragmatics
