This position offers a unique opportunity to provide Speech-Language Pathology services across multiple K-12 schools within the Alabaster, AL area. The role is a contract position lasting through the current school year, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will serve students in three separate schools, delivering specialized support that enhances communication skills and educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students in grades K-12, addressing a variety of communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans in accordance with educational goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, adjusting therapy approaches as needed
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures governing school-based services
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school settings providing direct speech therapy to K-12 students
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders within school-age populations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple school sites efficiently
