Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Wilmington, North Carolina

This opportunity is for a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide services in an elementary school setting serving students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Located in Wilmington, NC, this contract position offers a 40-hour workweek focused on delivering both direct and indirect speech therapy services. The role is structured around 3 days per week of direct student interactions with additional time dedicated to indirect support activities such as documentation, planning, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-5 students
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide teletherapy services as needed to supplement in-person sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet compliance requirements
Qualifications:
- NC licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Current Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience working in schools preferred but not required
- Skills in pediatric speech-language pathology and teletherapy methods preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with educational teams
