Make a real difference supporting students through a fulfilling contract opportunity working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school environment near Sunnyvale, CA. This role offers a blend of educational settings—inclusive of elementary and preschool sites—and begins at the start of the school year. The assignment is planned to continue until the district hires internally, providing meaningful experience and flexibility.
Key Qualifications:
- Current CCC-SLP credential strongly preferred, though not required
- Prior school-based and/or pediatric SLP experience is ideal
- Skilled in conducting assessments and collaborating with IEP teams
- Adaptable, with strong communication and organization abilities
- Enthusiastic about supporting students with a range of speech and language needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students in both general education and special education (mid to moderate) settings
- Rotate between Braly Elementary (serving mid to moderate needs) and Briarwood Elementary (serving general education and preschool), with each school assigned for a full day
- Assist with caseload overflow and provide assessment support, but will not be the main SLP at any single site
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with teachers and support staff, and help craft effective service plans
- Maintain thorough case documentation and participate in evaluation reviews as needed
