This contract opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) with experience in school settings seeking to make a meaningful impact. Located in Sunnyvale, CA, the position supports students with moderate to severe needs, providing specialized speech and language services within a single school site to ensure focused and consistent care.
Assignment Details:
- Employment from now until the end of the current school year, with the possibility of extension based on mutual fit.
- Full-time schedule of 5 days per week, 40 hours total.
- Work assigned to one school site each day, located in either Santa Clara or Sunnyvale, with no daily travel between campuses required.
- Manage a caseload of 15-20 students with moderate to severe speech and language challenges.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as an SLP or SLPA with documented experience working in a school environment.
- Familiarity with designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for diverse student needs.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to provide evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to each student’s goals.
- Candidates with a school-based practice background are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students according to their individual IEPs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and administration.
- Support student communication development to enhance educational access and social participation.
