A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide essential services across K-12 settings within Charleston County School District, located in Charleston, SC. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the current school year (May 29, 2026). The role requires on-site presence and a flexible schedule Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include supporting a diverse caseload of general education students, resource students, and individuals in Low Incidence programs. Initially assigned to Dunston Elementary, you will cover a medical leave until May and subsequently transition to an elementary school in West Ashley to cover a maternity leave through the end of the school year. The caseload includes working with Low Incidence and Low Incidence/Autism students, providing targeted speech-language services that support student communication development in alignment with IEP goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active South Carolina state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC required; no CFs or SLPAs accepted)
  • Experience working within school-based settings with K-12 students
  • Capability to manage and provide evidence-based services for general education and specialized populations
  • Ability to adapt to transitions between different schools and caseloads within the district

Location:

  • On-site work in Charleston, SC, starting at Dunston Elementary, then transitioning to a West Ashley elementary school
