School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - North Charleston, South Carolina
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in North Charleston, SC, serving K-12 students on a contract basis for the current school year. This role involves supporting two different elementary schools within the Charleston County School District, initially covering a medical leave at Dunston Elementary and then transitioning to West Ashley Elementary to cover a maternity leave until the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services to general education students, those in resource programs, and students in Low Incidence/Autism programs.
- Support caseloads involving diverse age groups within the K-12 range, focusing primarily on elementary-aged children.
- Collaborate with school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Maintain compliance with district and state guidelines for speech pathology services.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (no pending applications accepted).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; Certified Fellow (CF) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) are not eligible.
- Experience working in school settings preferred.
- Ability to commit full-time hours, Monday through Friday.

- North Charleston, SC, with assignments at Dunston Elementary and West Ashley Elementary schools.
Contract Details:
- Duration: ASAP start through May 29, 2026.
- Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday.
