A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with active South Carolina licensure is needed to support students across K–12 schools in Charleston, SC. This contract position runs from January through May 28, 2026, covering a maternity leave assignment with the potential to serve multiple schools within the district. The caseload includes delivering direct therapy, conducting evaluations, assessments, and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services consistent with IEPs for K–12 students.
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active South Carolina state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is required.
- Experience working with K–12 student populations.
- Ability to handle itinerant caseloads across multiple school settings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- No consideration for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or candidates in Clinical Fellowship (CF) positions.
