A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support school-aged children in Antioch, CA, for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role begins on August 3, 2026, with the school year starting on August 6, and continues through May 28, 2027. This full-time opportunity offers a schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for a caseload of approximately 50-55 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insights.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) eligibility.
- Prior experience working in school settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language development and disorders.
- Ability to manage a moderately heavy caseload efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
