School Speech Therapist | Detroit, Michigan
This role offers an opportunity to provide Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services in a K-5 elementary school setting within Detroit, MI. As an integral member of the educational team, you will support students requiring speech and language interventions, helping them achieve their communication goals in a nurturing and structured environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to a caseload of approximately 35 students, focusing on elementary-aged children (K-5).
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to meet each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain detailed records and provide progress updates in accordance with school guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working in K-12 school settings, preferably with K-5 elementary-aged students.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 35 students.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work a 4-day week schedule within the academic calendar year.
