Speech and Language Pathologist - Stephens City, VA
A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide onsite services within elementary and high school settings. This role focuses primarily on an elementary caseload while also supporting approximately 10 high school students. Schedule: 7.5 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across elementary and high school levels
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administration to support student communication goals
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and assist in developing communication strategies within the school environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in both elementary and high school settings
- Strong understanding of educational speech-language pathology practices and procedures
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and effectively prioritize student needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
