A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available to support early childhood through elementary students in a K-12 educational setting in Harrisonburg, VA. This part-time role offers an excellent opportunity to provide essential speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 30 students ranging from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services on-site 2-3 days per week, totaling approximately 20 hours weekly.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and school guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- State SLP License required.
- Clinical Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Previous experience working in school settings with early childhood and elementary-aged children is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of about 30 students efficiently.
