School Speech Language Pathologist - Bridgeport, Connecticut
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school serving pre-K through 8th grade students in Bridgeport, CT. This role is a contract position beginning in March and continuing through the end of the current school year, with potential for renewal extending into the extended school year (ESY) and the 2025/2026 academic year. The schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week on-site, emphasizing hands-on support and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations, therapy, and intervention services tailored to the needs of students from pre-K to 8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments and IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in meetings such as IEP conferences and parent consultations
Qualifications:
- Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or currently in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working with children in school settings preferred
- Background working with students with autism is a plus but not required
- Availability to work full-time, on-site 37.5 hours per week
- Candidates must be licensed and credentialed; telepractice or assistant positions will not be considered at this time
